Metathesis Featured at Modern Synthetic Methods & Chiral USA

Modern Synthetic Methods & Chiral USA

May 19–21, 2014

Scientific Update has created a 3-day conference and exhibition to bridge a gap between industry and academia. Since industry rarely devises new synthetic methods to perform each step in the synthetic route, the event will provide a forum where industry and academia can meet to discuss new synthetic methodology. The academic presentations will showcase the latest research in synthetic organic chemistry and the industrial presentations will describe with real case studies how key reactions have been applied on an industrial scale.

The event will feature a special session on metathesis. The topics that will be addressed are:

  • New advances in metathesis chemistry applications
  • Industrialisation of processes utilising metathesis chemistry
  • Design and development of novel metathesis catalysts, both ruthenium and non-precious metal based
  • Scale-up and supply of metathesis catalysts for commercial applications

Metathesis Session Speakers

Dr. Frederic Caijo, Omega Cat System, France
Library of Modular Homogeneous Ru-catalysts in valuable Olefin Metathesis Transformations

Dr. Michael Limbach, BASF SE, Germany
